ASL/ English Interpreter
Madeleine Ingram
Hello!
I am a graduate from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelors degree in Signed Language Interpreting and a minor in Political Science. I have been practicing interpreting since January 2012 in various settings with an emphasis of experience in primary, secondary and post-secondary settings. I am currently pre-certified holding a New Mexico interpreting license, business license and liability insurance giving me the ability to begin interpreting in the state of New Mexico. I have recently taken the EIPA and NIC and am awaiting results. I offer interpreting services as well as transliterating services. I have been a member of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf since 2010. I grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado and moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2007 for college. I had the unique opportunity to go to Salt Lake City and participate in VRS Interpreting Institute's Internship Program. This was a three month long internship for in-depth practice in a variety of interpreting settings and a way to develop ASL skills in a variety of settings. After the program was finished, I decided to move to Chicago in 2013 to be closer to family. My favorite thing to do is travel and experience new things. I have traveled to Greece, Spain, Italy, France, United Kingdom, and Belgium and I hope to add many more countries to that list in my lifetime.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little bit, I hope I have the opportunity to get to you know as well! If you have any comments or questions, please contact me.
